Fifteen Months!

Lil'Bit is a big Five plus Ten months old this month! She's staying so tiny! Next week we have the check up with Dr Freeman. I'll be excited to know about her growth pattern and how much she weighs. The other day she wore a 6-9mos shirt but is in mostly 12mo clothes. I sure do love that Lil'Bit.

Her hair is the color of dark honey, with dare I say strawberry highlights? Her coloring keeps changing. Beau is straight up chocolate his entire existence. Lauren's eye's were navy then a mix then blueish again and now they match those big beautiful chocolate truffles of her brothers. She is sassy and sweet, knows what she wants to do, and will let you know about it. She does talk a lot, but mostly in Mandarin Chinese. Audible words are; uh-oh, uh-uh (as is no), uh-huh ( as is yes), MeMomMom (that's me), Daddy, juice, nose, tank too (thank you). But she just goes on and on and on in conversations, nodding as she goes. So funny. Lauren is a morning girl, gets up as soon as she hears anyone and so sweet in the mornings. In the evenings, you can ask, Lauren are you ready for milk and to go nite-nite, you'll get an exaggerated UH-HUH and yes head nod! She's really good at brushing her teeth. All ELEVEN of them.  

She tries to follow Beau around, and they mostly play together well. Sometimes Beau will just swipe what she has, but at this point she's beginning to hold her own with him. She'll squeal and hold her hand out to give it back. Her favorite thing to do is climb the stairs, pretend to drink tea from the tea sets, snuggle, eat (anything), climb, mess with the fireplace doors, poke Bentley and Kitty. She is an animal whisperer. She is the one who will be begging for us to take home puppies from parking lots. Pray for me. Lauren holds still to get her hair done and adores bath time. I love me some Lauren.

Beauisms

"I'm just going to rest on this love couch" {loveseat}.
"Mommy! Did you know concrete trucks spin around and around and then there's a concrete slide to dump out? That sounds fun." {we see a lot of concrete trucks, it's a new favorite thing}
Me and Mike were both hugging him and Mike said, "it's a Beau sandwich," then Beau said, "I'm the Cheese!"

                                                 

Beau is POTTY TRAINED. Whoop whoop for Beau and everyone else that has assisted in this marathon project!!

"Mama, will these beans make me run fast and grow big?" Yes. "Mama, I'm all done, I need to go see if I can run fast."

"Can I have a cookie for eating all my ice cream?"

The other day he explained to me the simple logistics of how his cap gun works. He was correct and Mike had not talked to him about it. He figured it out. On his own. "Mommy, if I pull this trigger, this piece hits this block, then it hits the bullet and shoots out the end with fire."

We struggle at bedtime because Mr Bear just can't settle his mind. It's like he has to unload everything, talk about it, think through the day... I need to readdress the bedtime routine to give him this time. He will lay in there for over an hour, just talking whether we're in there with him or not. He talks about boats, why it rains when the clouds are full, that he thinks he needs a haircut, he doesn't want to wear shoes tomorrow, he wants to kiss sissy goodnight, read 14 more books and the legendary - I need a drink. I remember being little and not being able to go to sleep, I still have trouble going to sleep. I have to make a concentrated effort to clear my mind. I visualize looking up through the tulip tree while laying in the grass at the house on Weaver Rd. Jenny and I spent a lot of time sitting there. It calms me. I want to help Beau find sleep too. Plus, I love listening to his thoughts.
