Easter Goodness

Easter "Bonnets" for Joy's House Easter Party

Mike said, "What are you doi... oh no, please don't tell me that's Beau's." Me: "Um yes it is, but it's ok because all his glitter letters are silver or blue." Mike, "Nope. That doesn't make it better."

"Her name was Lauren.. and she worked at Copacobanna!"

Joy's House Crew. Beau was worried because Lauren's hat fell off.

Instead of dying, me and Beau stickered, Lauren trying to eat stickers.

I love Easter yes I do.
That cake has Whoopie Pie Filling as the middle layer. Heavenly!

Playing before church. As in 6:30am-ish. Sunrise service with Littles. Wowzer.
Jesus, you are WORTH it!

One of perhaps 4 total family photos I have of us since May 2010.

Photos after church = a little rumpled.

Did you know Beau loves sugar?

Yes Sweetheart, that is the most delicious thing you have encountered thus far.

"Thanks for the candy I can't chew yet." - Lauren
Heeheehee!

{insert deep sigh of complete happiness}

Beau Said...

"Pa, we need to buy you some more hair."
Nannie said, "Beau, please get your finger outta your nose. Big boys don't pick their nose." and then Beau said, "my Daddy does."
"Holy Moly!"
"That's not a good idea."
"Mama, I'm a kitty." and then proceeded to Meow the rest of the evening. I love pretend!
"Mama! Look at that very short, very hairy.. cow?" It was a sheep.
"Hey! We need to pray!" we got a little ahead of ourselves at Aunt Melodee's house.
Me: "Beau, did you have a good day?" Beau, "No. It was rough. I was in timeout." Me: "Why?" Beau: "I don't know anymore."
"Does Lauren have a booka-booka?" (that's what he calls his you-know-what) Me: "Nope. She's a girl." Beau: "Lemme see. Hmm, nope." end of conversation. WHEW, that was easy. for now.

Eleven!

 Happy Eleven months old Lauren!
Strong to her military family heritage, she is very good at the Army crawl, or perhaps Navy crawl. She's standing for longer periods and can pull up (just on people for now) but has trouble figuring out how to sit back down. She can make it down the hallway to Beau's room, but gets so excited, she starts giggling and I can't resist scooping her up sometimes!
"Uh-Oh!" and "Ooo!" are occasionally mimicked. She says Ma Ma Ma and Da Da - to the right one!

Sometimes she puckers her lips for a kiss and puts her arms around my neck for a hug. She no longer sucks her thumb, but does love that bink when she's sleepy or in the car.
Still snorts and wrinkles her nose when she laughs. Sometimes, she even cracks herself up. She isn't a big belly laugher, more of a chuckler with a big smile - just like Daddy.
Bath time is super fun. She is brave in the water, puts her face under the running faucet and only fusses when it's time to get out. Put a diaper on fast! This one likes to whiz while ahem.. airing out.
I just can't believe Lauren will be a year old next month. I am working hard to get a beautiful birthday party together for her, she is certainly a good reason to celebrate. I love you so Baby Girl.

Attention Please!

Are you ready for this? The biggest announcement on Crews Quarters to date (with the exception of baby news)?! ... Ahem.

My husband Michael was recently offered a job to teach and coach at Willard High School for the upcoming 2011-12 school year! {insert ear-piercing high squeal of joy} He will teach High School History and Assistant Girls Basketball. For the past seven years he taught History and coached Girls Basketball and Track for Hartville. This is an outstanding opportunity for his career and also a great move for our entire family. Beau and Lauren will have the tremendous blessing of growing up near our family and all the opportunities a large school such as Willard can offer them. I anticipate working on the Springfield campus or perhaps the Darr Center, continuing my responsibilities with VESTA.

The Lord opened these doors for us and we are so very thankful to have the opportunity to move home!

Before we married we had a goal. The goal: teach in a small, rural school for several years. Earn MS Ed Administration. CHECK. Move to a large school for our children to attend and graduate. Work on PhD. Then go into Administration for a few years. Ultimately, bring all those years back into the classroom to education the next generation at College of the Ozarks. His frustration while completed his BS Ed was partly due to all instructors were female with Elementary Ed background. The male educator in Secondary Ed component was missing. It’s of great importance to him to provide that skill set and knowledge base to college students, preferably at College of the Ozarks.

I am so incredibly thankful for our 7 years in the woods. At this point, I'm not able to wrap my head around and organize my thoughts on Hartville and the AMAZING experiences. For now, I'm just tickled about this major change. I am nervous about this major change. I have a tremendous amount of work to accomodate this major change.

Please be praying for wisdom and guidance for Mike and I to make the best decisions. And, yes we will see you at that family picnic because we are moving HOME! Thank you Lord.

PS. Please keep FB postings to personal messages. We aren't ready for Willard news to hit FB. Thanks!
